Resiliency through Unity - *PDAAP Village is one of the many successful projects of Pinnacle and its subsidiary, Philippine Distressed Asset Asia Pacific (SPV-AMC) 2, Inc. (PDAS2) that make its mission of giving back to the community a reality. Fellow kababayans in Pontevedra, Capiz who have been considered informal settlers and homeless for more than 20 years have been given a chance to own a home for their families. (“SQUATTERS NO MORE” per their slogan)
On February 27, 2016, a joint turn-over ceremony of PDAAP Village Phases 1 and 2 to their respective Home Owner’s Association (HOA) as well as to the whole PDAAP Community Association has been held at Brgy. Binuntucan, Pontevedra, Capiz.
The ceremony commenced with a thanksgiving mass, joined by PDAS2 Chairman, Mr. Neil Hagan and Ms. Eloisa Castillo, Portfolio Manager. Afterwards, symbolic unveiling and blessing of markers were led by Hon. Steve Contreras, Mayor of Pontevedra and former Vice-Governor, Mr. Esteban Contreras.
Participants then proceeded to Binuntucan Elementary School where the official program was held. Keynote speakers were HLURB Regional Director, Pilar Jamandre, Ms. Elsie Suarez of SHFC Region VI, Mayor of Pontevedra Capiz, Hon. Steve Contreras and PDAS2 Chairman, Mr. Neil Hagan including partners and local officials. Induction of officers of the two (2) community association was also conducted, with a short briefing on the mission and vision of PDAAP Community Association by SHFC’s Ms. Suarez. Formal turnover of documents related to the community association was made by Ms. Flor Contreras, PDAS2’s coordinator.
Finally, Mary Ann Decripito and Rima Capulso gave their acceptance speeches as newly-elected PDAAP Village Presidents with the commitment to maintain values of unity and generosity in becoming a resilient community.
