For its outstanding performance in the past year, Pinnacle Real Estate Consulting Services Inc., represented by its president and managing director Michael Mabutol, received two awards during the Global Symposium and Awards Gala organized by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE).

“We are honored to represent not just the company but the whole Philippines in the recent LeadingRE Global Symposium,” said Mabutol. “Receiving two awards in a single event is such a huge feat for us, and this wouldn’t be possible without the hardworking Pinnacle family. We are proud to be of service.” Pinnacle won the Leadership Award and the Long Distance Referral Award.

He added that regular catch-up between partner agencies under the LeadingRE group and the exchange of ideas and best practices will greatly strengthen collaboration on business opportunities.

A series of panel discussions were also held during the symposium, including one that discussed global commercial real estate in which Mabutol was one of the selected panelists. During the discussion, Mabutol discussed the current trends that affect the Philippines’ commercial real estate sector.

“We’re seeing a lot of growth in retail and warehousing,” he said. “Plenty of foreign players have entered the Philippine market in recent years.”

Data shows that 50 percent of mall spaces in Metro Manila are now taken up by food and beverage (F&B) outlets, according to Mabutol. The Philippine capital has seen the opening of some well-known F&B brands over the last couple of years, including Taiwan’s Din Tai Fung and New York burger joint Shake Shack.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila’s warehousing sector continuously gets tighter, and locators are quickly snapping up every available inventory, especially the provinces north and south of Manila where transport infrastructure projects (CALAX, Skyway Stage 3, SLEX-NLEX Connector) will be fully operational over the next few years.

LeadingRE’s Global Symposium is one of its most well-attended events. Usually held in Europe, this year’s edition was held in the Greek capital Athens and gathered leaders of LeadingRE member companies to reconnect, share best practices, and basically learn from each other.
