Millennials a growing market for developers

A leading real estate company pinpointed the growing millennial work force as the next target market of property developers.

“The 1.3 million strong workers in the IT-BPO sector represents a sizeable market for residential developers and investors. Developers have thus designed new residential products that fit the specific need of millennials and reduce travel time at affordable rents,” Santos Knight Frank Senior Director and Research Consultancy Jan Custodio said in a press briefing held in Makati Shangri-la recently. Metro’s most expensive, cheapest cities ranked

Are you in the market to buy a house? It pays to know which Metro Manila cities have the most expensive houses, and which cities have the most number of properties under P10 million.

Lamudi, which kept listings of over 60,000 in 2016, recently compiled price data and ranked Metro Manila’s key cities from the most expensive to the cheapest in terms of average house prices. Lamudi included current listings at the time of writing in order to paint a better picture of how the housing market of each city stands. The ranking also lists the price of its most expensive home currently for sale. The analysis does not include Pasay, Pateros, Navotas, and Malabon, as there are very few inventories from these cities. Read More

 

All roads lead to a bigger, better Alviera

MANILA, Philippines — Property giant Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) is transforming its mixed-use estate in Porac, Pampanga as the next growth center in Central Luzon as it expands its scope to accommodate more multinational partners.

In a press briefing, John Estacio, general manager of Alviera – the counterpart of Nuvali in the north – said they are raising their investment in the Porac township to P100 billion from P90 billion previously as the estate widens from 1,100 hectares to 1,800 hectares, ALI’s second largest estate next to Nuvali. Cebu Landmasters break ground for Mesatierra

ESATIERRA Garden Residences of Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) held their groundbreaking ceremony Friday, October 20, and is now nearing 90 percent sold-out for their more than 600 residential units since their launching March of this year. According to CLI president and CEO Jose Soberano III, they have started with the board piling about 3 to 4 months prior to the groundbreaking. Since their official launching March of this year, they have already sold 90 percent of the units. Since then, their unit prices had undergone multiple price increases, which, according to Soberano, is reflective of the good market Davao City has. “Those that bought earlier have already experienced appreciation. We started with about P72,500 per square meter (sqm). It’s now, I think, P95,000 per sqm. We have gone through five price increases already.  Read More
